Marshall VS100R
This page describes a project in which an old Marshall Valvestate VS100R guitar amplifier was recovered from a dusty attic and recovered to a representable state. When found, the amplifier was decorated with some sort of a fluffy pink carpet and covered with dust. The image below shows the amplifier in its original state, as no camera was able to capture the state in which the subject of this project was found.
Making a new front for the amplifier required several hours of drawing in Inkscape. The result was a real size template with improved lettering. The original face plate was removed by pulling a thin fishing wire through the glue layer holding it to the frame of the electronics box. Remaining glue was removed from the back using cleaning spirit.
